Schellekens kwam vorig seizoen over van Hurry Up als vervanger van de gestopte Martijn Cappel. Volendam laat weten zowel Schellekens als de andere doelman Woltersom belangrijke waarde zijn voor het team en gezamelijk een ijzersterk koppel vormen in het doel van HV KRAS/Volendam.
