Steve Pottuijt speelt zondag tegen Bevo zijn laatste handbalwedstrijd voor DIOS. Vanwege blessures is hij gedwongen te stoppen bij de club uit Den Hoorn.
Coach Arjan Koster: ,,Het wordt zwaar, want Bevo speelt nog voor een plek in de nacompetitie. Maar we hebben nog nooit van ze verloren, dus dat willen we zo houden.”
Steve Pottuijt: ,,Jammer om te moeten stoppen. Ik heb mooie tijden bij DIOS beleefd, maar door die slepende blessures is het niet langer te doen. Dan kan ik beter nu de knoop doorhakken. Dan kunnen ze er in de voorbereiding rekening mee houden.”
Ian Pottuijt, broer van Steve Pottuijt, stopt als teammanager bij de mannen van DIOS. ,,Even een jaartje voor mezelf en daarna zien we wel weer verder,” aldus Pottuijt die ook voorzitter is van de club uit Den Hoorn.
