Belangrijkste wapenfeit van Nusser bij Lions was de promotie naar de Eredivisie in 2013. Met de promotie was Lions de eerste club die een opleidingsteam in de Eredivisie had.
Nusser is de tweede trainer in korte tijd die Lions verlaat. Vorige week maakte ook hoofdcoach Monique Tijsterman bekend dat zij volgend seizoen niet meer bij de club actief zal zijn. Wie de opvolgers worden van Tijsterman en Nusser is nog niet bekend.
