Op het EK in Polen is nog altijd geen enkele ploeg zeker van een plaats in de halve finales. Vandaag staan de laatste wedstrijden in de hoofdronde op het programma en zal dus beslist worden welke vier ploegen er kans gaan maken op de medailles. Alle duels zijn zoals altijd te volgen via de livestream op EHF tv. Duitsland-Denemarken is ook te zien op de Duitse zender ARD, vanaf 18.00 uur.
Groep 1
In groep 1 staan drie wedstrijden op het programma. Om 16.00 uur spelen Macedonië en Wit-Rusland tegen elkaar. Beide ploegen zijn al uitgeschakeld voor de halve finales. Om 18.15 uur is het de beurt aan Frankrijk en Noorwegen. Een ware finale, want de winnaar van deze wedstrijd plaatst zich direct voor de halve finale. Om 20.30 uur spelen Polen en Kroatië tegen elkaar en ook die beide ploegen kunnen zich bij een overwinning plaatsen voor de halve finale, hoewel Kroatië alleen met een grote overwinning nog kans maakt.
Groep 2
In groep 2 is de strijd ook nog altijd niet beslist. Duitsland, Denemarken en Spanje zijn nog in de race om 2 plaatsen in de halve finales. Om 16.00 uur spelen het al uitgeschakelde Zweden en Hongarije tegen elkaar. Om 18.15 uur staat er dan een echte finale op het programma: Duitsland-Denemarken, de twee koplopers in de groep. Nummer drie Spanje kan zich om 20.30 uur met een zege op Rusland ook direct plaatsen voor de halve finale.
De wedstrijd Duitsland-Denemarken zal vanaf 18.00 uur te zien zijn op de zender ARD, die vaak ook in Nederland te ontvangen is. De Duitsers zullen het moeten doen zonder de geblesseerde Steffen Weinhold en Christian Dissinger, twee belangrijke schakels in het Duitse team. De Denen hebben al groot nadeel dat zij 2o uur geleden (!) nog een zware wedstrijd tegen Zweden moesten afwerken. Dit in tegenstelling tot de Duitsers, die twee rustdagen hadden.

16.00 uur: Macedonië – Wit-Rusland
18.15 uur: Frankrijk – Noorwegen
