Joris Witjens stopt aan het einde van dit seizoen als hoofdtrainer van de damesselectie bij het Haagse Hellas. Dat maakte de club gistermiddag via social media bekend.
Joris Witjes; “de combinatie werk, gezinsleven en handbal is op dit moment gewoon te veel. Ik wil alles graag goed doen, maar als je dan te veel wil gaan er dingen knellen en dat wil ik voorkomen. Ik heb met veel plezier de damesselectie twee jaar getraind. Het waren beide jaren goede groepen, en zeker ook de huidige groep verdient een trainer die er vol voor kan gaan.”
Het bestuur van Hellas liet in hetzelfde bericht weten graag te zien dat Witjens het huidige seizoen nog mooi afsluit, maar respecteert zijn beslissing om er aan het einde van het seizoen mee te stoppen.
Het bestuur heeft inmiddels Nico Stet bereid gevonden om de damesselectie komend seizoen onder zijn hoede te nemen.
