Luc Steins verruilt na dit seizoen de Limburg Lions voor het Frans Massy dat uitkomt in de Franse tweede liga. Het Limburgse talent was enige tijd geleden op trainingsstage geweest bij de Franse ploeg. Dat het uiteindelijk tot een akkoord zou komen was een kwestie van tijd.

Steins geldt al langere tijd als een van de grootste talenten van Nederland. Ondanks zijn jonge leeftijd (21) heeft de Limburger al bijna 20 A-Interlands achter zijn naam staan en is hij al vier jaar een vaste waarde in de selectie van OCI-Lions waarmee hij uitkomt in de BENE-League.
In 2013 werd Steins door de Eredivisietrainers gekozen tot talent van het jaar. In 2014 won hij de titel meest waardevolle speler van de Nederlandse Eredivisie.
